Enable Google Pay on your Android phoneDownload Google Wallet app, add your primary credit card. Uses biometric authentication for payments. Same merchant acceptance as Apple Pay. 🔒 Tokenization & Biometric Security

Digital wallets use tokenization to hide your real card number from merchants. Understand how it protects you.

Understand tokenizationYour real card number is never shared with merchants. Instead, a unique token is used for each transaction. If that token is intercepted, it's useless without your biometric authentication. Enable biometric authentication (Face ID or fingerprint) on all digital walletsPrevents anyone with your phone from making payments. This is your most important protection against physical phone theft. Disable transaction history from showing on your lock screenIn your wallet app settings, turn off notifications and transaction previews that show on your home screen or lock screen. Review your digital wallet transaction history weeklyCheck for any transactions you didn't authorize. Digital wallet fraud is rare because tokenization is extremely secure, but watch for it anyway. Set up transaction alerts in your payment app for contactless paymentsMany payment apps let you set alerts for any payment over a certain amount (e.g., $50).
